Visions du Réel and European Documentary Network (EDN) are organizing for the fifth year running Pitching du Réel, a co-production meeting devoted to documentary full-length films and – for the second time in Nyon – the One-on-One Meetings, which will consist of individual meetings at which shorter-duration films will also be admitted.

Ever since it was created, Pitching du Réel has aimed to be a starting-point for projects having an artistic ambition and a potential on the main sales markets; the event’s target audience comprises both experienced, acknowledged film-makers and talented, young film directors.

A whole day will be devoted to the pitchings, 10 projects will be submitted to 80 to 90 potential partners: commissioning editors, producers, distributors, sales agents, and financers. The time for each project is at least 30 minutes, which makes it possible to develop a substantial discussion. Sales agents active in the international market will give immediate feedback on each project at the end of the day.

Half a day will be devoted to the One-on-One Meetings. 10 projects will be selected.

Selection criteria for Pitching du Réel:
•    full-length film project
•    subject adapted to an international co-production
•    the project can be in the initial financing stage

Selection criteria for the One-on-One-Meetings:
•    full-length films and shorter films
•    subject adapted to an international co-production
•    financing assured up to a minimum of 20% and a maximum of 65%.

Participation expenses
Pitching du Réel: 300 euros
One-on-One-Meetings: 250 euros

Deadlines
Registration deadline: February 22, 2010
The deadline for sending in the material for the catalogue is: March 1, 2010

Observers
All professionals who are interested are invited to take part in the event. The price of the day (including Networking lunch) is CHF 100 / EUR 70.
